John Lynch – Songs & Stories by Candlelight

Following a previous sold-out show at The Cobblestone, Irish folk singer-songwriter John Lynch returns to the Back Room on Friday 20 November for an intimate evening of songs, stories and candlelight, with support from Jem Mitchell.

John blends his own original songs with traditional Irish ballads and contemporary folk favourites, bringing a modern perspective to a rich storytelling tradition. His songs explore working lives, love, loss, resilience and the issues shaping the world around us, delivered with warmth, honesty and a generous helping of Dublin humour.

His releases include the album City Stars and the EP 1922, with his music receiving recognition from Hot Press, RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends and airplay on BBC Radio Scotland.

Expect a stripped-back acoustic performance, stories behind the songs and familiar favourites alongside original material—all in the close, welcoming atmosphere of one of Dublin’s best-loved music rooms.
