Ben Turner: Songs and Stories in the Backroom
From the hills of Wexford to the theatres of Germany, Ben Turner has done a lot of miles in the last few years. Cutting his teeth on the streets and in the pubs of Dublin, he soon packed up his guitar and headed to Europe. Through street shows and pop up gigs in bars, living rooms, train stations, barbershops and other unique locations he gathered a modest but loyal fan-base, and soon attracted the attention of many respected musicians.
He has gone on to share the stage with a variety of artists such as fellow Wexford songwriter Wallis Bird, Mark Geary, German folk hero STOPPOK and English master songwriter Scott Matthews. With influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to nineties grunge icons Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Ben's powerful whisper to a roar vocals and clever guitar playing are something to experience.
