Album launch

Lorraine and Jacqui began their musical journey together in 2001 when they undertook the Ceoltóir Course in Irish traditional music performance. They share a deep respect for fiddle and flute music, and draw from the rich traditions in their own localities of Leitrim-Sligo and North County Dublin.
During their time in Ceoltóir, the girls were regulars to the Cobblestone sessions. Back then there were weekly Leitrim Sessions in the back room on a Thursday and in the front bar players such as Néillidh Mulligan, Malachy Bourke, Tommy Martin, Michelle O’Brien, Nollaig McCárthaigh, Ger Galvin and Sean Garvey, to name but a few, gave great encouragement to the girls. Tom Mulligan must have seen some potential in the girls and gave them their first regular session on a Thursday night in the front bar. Little did he know this would be the catalyst to a lifelong musical partnership. Twenty-two years later the session is still going strong with Jacqui as its constant anchor.
